We've been in the business providing innovative OEM ultrasound solutions for medical, research and industrial applications for over 15 years and with Cephasonics as a standalone business since 2012. 

In early 2018 we expanded our service and consulting programs to better reflect our expanded offerings that marries world-class design and engineering with state-of-the-art imaging hardware and software technology.
We provide unique ultrasound products and technology that helps our customers develop innovative ultrasound-enabled medical devices.  Cephasonics' unique approach integrates ultrasound, AI and Deep-Learning functionality with a focus on real-time measurement, telemetry and therapeutics in order to provide medical devices with more usable patient information.

We work with customers on conceptual ultrasound designs, feasibility studies, prototyping, clinical trials and design for manufacturing including working with partner contract manufacturers who can deliver final production systems with our licensed core technologies.

Richard Tobias
​Richard is a world recognized expert on designing and implementing ultrasound algorithms.  Richard is the company founder and leads our overall engineering design and consulting practice working with clients to conceptualize and design innovative approaches for using ultrasound to address critical imaging challenges.

Terry Brown
Terry Brown serves as Vice President of Business Development for Cephasonics, where he leads customer engagement, strategic partnerships, and the development of new medical product opportunities built on Cephasonics’ advanced ultrasound technologies. With deep experience in medical devices and a strong background in emerging clinical applications, Terry works closely with OEM partners to understand their product vision, align technical capabilities, and accelerate integration of ultrasound into next-generation therapeutic, diagnostic, and procedural systems. 
Dr. Bob Uvacek PhD.
Bob holds a Ph.D. from Swiss Federal Institute of Technology and heads our ultrasound technology engineering efforts.  He has specialized in designing and developing analog and digital signal and information processing for systems for chip processors, ultrasound machines, modelling of human hearing and vision as well as deep learning neural networks and filtering.


Jim Reichmuth
Jim Reichmuth serves as a senior advisor to Cephasonics, focusing on worldwide customer relations and strategic market engagement. With more than 20 years of experience leading global sales programs for technology companies, Jim brings deep expertise in customer development, channel strategy, and enterprise partnerships.
Randy Whiting
Randy Whiting serves as Chief Operating Officer of Cephasonics and provides overall management of the company along with Richard Tobias.    Prior to joining the company, he was an active early-stage venture investor and has led a number of early-stage startups and served in executive roles in a number of technology companies.  He also served at CEO of CommerceNet.


Stefen Buchmann
Stefan manages European sales for Cephasonics Ultrasound through Partners4U GbR, a German consulting firm providing sales and business development services for clients world wide.  Prior to that, Stefan was the Vice President of European Sales of MIPS Technologies Inc. He has more than 26 years of experience in software and intellectual property sales.
